Maybe i should place this in the career section. I just got fired from my new job at the library. I was just there for 2 months. All the HR lady said was "it's just not a good fit". She certainly thought i was a good fit when she hired me. I can't even get unemployment, since i have not been there that long. Well I just called the job agency where i used to work and they have a possible job for me in april. I have to go test for it tomorrow morning. Maybe I will take the rest of the month off and destress. I have been so overloaded with work and school.

I feel so stupid. But at the same time, i felt as if i had been let out of a cave. I practically ran out of the building. At least I still have my school. :-3

oh i'm sorry Saffron....that's a real blow to a person's self-esteem. best wishes on new job interview!

Thanks you guys. I guess it was just like my mechanic said, it's a transitional job until the better job comes along.

I feel so stupid though. It was a very "detail oriented" job. And I didn't really fit in with the other women there. There was one woman who I liked. But she had been there for only a year, and she has been having problems too. Who knows, maybe they blamed me for that. It doesn't matter. Tomorrow is a new day, and i still have a place to live. And my roommate asked me to have dinner with her and we made hamburgers. I think she wants me to stay there. so i gave her my rent for this month, since I got my last paycheck with the firing today.

Ohh god, I have not been fired from a job in i don't even know how long. what a horrible day. And i was tired to begin with. :-5

Yes she is nice, but her kids are not. And her husband is trying to take her house and her kids, so i am kind of in the middle of a divorce. (Not mine). So it is very......stressful there sometimes. I never said she wasn't nice, just that her life is not in control. ....Not that mine is any more.

And anyway, it is only the 9th where I live. I have lived in apartments that allow the tenants until the 5th, and then give a 2 week grace period. I have always paid her rent, the whole amount. And I help her around the house and I used to pick her daughter up from school, soccer practice and the mall. I am not a bad renter, just one who does not like other people's drama.

How scary! I think that is supposed to be a scare tactic.

I also used to live in apartments where we could pay our rent very very late and never even got a late notice or late fees. This was because the managers were very "not strict" and the building was owned by people who owned lots of other properties in other countries too. And the property had been bought and paid for a long time ago. I swear that once I could not pay my rent for 3 months, until I got my student loan and grant checks. And as long as I went in and spoke to the manager, it was okay. And I paid up when I told her I would. Never even got an eviction or 30 day notice. But then they refinanced the property and changed the rules and raised the rent and started getting really strict and people were getting evicted like nothing else. i moved about 2 years later, as everything was different. Even the managers became really mean, and they had never been that way before.

There were also a lot of HUD and section 8 tenants there. And people on government type housing subsidies. I don't know what it's called. But after they changed the rules, even the manager's friends where being evicted. I wasn't though. I had a good job by the time they changed everything. And they even had free cable.

Oh how i miss having my own apartment. :-1 :-1

Seems like they may have done you a favor Saff, you really didn't want to be a "Librarian" anyway, did you? Where's the excitement in that? Why not try for a Flight attendant job, or even to give Danica Patrick a run for her money!:-2

It's never easy to loose a job Saff, but look on the bright side, & seize this new opportunity to make it work out for your best interest. I used to be in a position where from time to time for various reasons, I had to "RIF" people (Reduction In Force) that worked for me. Believe me I think it was harder on me then it was on those people. I knew that my company was providing "re-training" for these RIFd people to learn new skills, & I told them that & yet it was still a difficlut situation.

Well, GOOD LUCK to you, just perservere & you will do fine.

Geez Saff, your having a bad run lately. Dont forget were on a rollercoaster and after a big plunge your on your way up again.

I am still doing well in school though. And i really like my teachers.

I will get another job soon. And i have worked things out at home for the time being. There is a career center at my school that has a lot of job openings i found. So i also went back to the agency I used to work for. They have placed me at a few godd jobs in the past. I am just not looking forward to working full time. I am trying for a part-time job. tomorrow is a new day.
