National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund - police, cops .......this is one of several national organizations, but we don't have one specifically for florida. your Hundred Club is a worthy and wonderful cause!

my SO just built a lovely memorial garden to our fallen officers...and we all bought bricks for the path, inscribed with the honored names. it's very moving.

God, is there anything more painful than the cop funerals we've had to go to? our last one was for a 20 year-old rookie. we had to drive to jacksonville. there were many hundreds of cruisers, and the people of that city all stopped driving, got out of their cars and saluted us. the worst part is when they call that radio number the last time, and nobody answers. then dispatch says he's 10-7. oh lord that makes me break down. :-1

this still haunts me...he told the rescue guys not to feel badly, he was going to a better place. then he died. Jesus. he was answering a fake 911 call. .....Deputy who died from wreck is laid to rest

we need to go to the pub and get trashed and cry!!
