What really does **** you off ...if anything ...for me its telesales ,idiots who just keep on phoning i must get 2/3 a day ( i had 5 one day last week) T mobile, tiscalli ,BT what really does **** me off is the fact that most of them cant even speak english so arguing is pointless . Apart from changing my number (which i will do) i have tryed everything from saying a straight out NO!! to a full blown out swearing match (which i rather enjoy).Do these people really think im gonna buy something off them........ soooooooo anyone else ever have that problem ? Also when a company telephones and you ask whos calling and they say "im sorry i cant give out any information " BUT THEY EXPECT ME TO ...they say can you confirm your postcode and house number ...sorry but YOUR phoning ME and you expect ME to give YOU MY DETAILS ..at which point they get all huffy and ring off. ................I know these people need to earn a living but they make me sooooo MAD .......off for a lie down .....

As soon as I learn it's a sales call, I hang up. No arguing, no stress, just hang up.

I get a lot of calls at work from computers and foreign speaking people. At home, I get calls telling me I have unclaimed funds, which I don't.

sales call on the phone
sales people/religious people at the door
tailgating!! especially when my kids are in the car!
people who hog up a whole aisle at the store and then look at you like you're bothering them when they have to get out of your way so you can get thru!
people who go shopping with 11 generations of their immediate family because they're in my way too!
people who make that snapping/popping noise with their gum!:-5
people who talk LOUDLY on their cell phone in public
goodness, I could write a book....

I have an easy time with the phone sales calls because I sound like I'm 12, so I either get "can I speak to your parents" or (in a patronizing voice) "hi, are Mr. or Mrs. __________ available" and I just say no either way and hang up!:D :wah:

Be careful with this one Peg, they get you to dial or call back a number and it costs a fortune.
One thing that drives is mad is when I'm waiting at a bus stop and I've been waiting for about 20 mins. The bus pulls up and all of a sudden these grannies come running from God knows where. Then I can't get a seat (even though I was the first one there) and I feel so green by the time I get to work from having to stand on the bus.
I would always get up and offer a seat to someone older because my mother raised me like this but I just can't understand why the older generation don't show a bit of respect. I then don't feel like showing it anymore either. I used to be nice!!
Another thing that makes me nuts is when you are walking on a footpath and there are 2 people walking towards you and they expect you to get off instead of they just passing you single file.

I've had loads of those. Just a beep then silence. Over here, it scares the **** out of the elderly who think they are being stalked or pestered because no one speaks.
A couple of weeks back, though, I had computer that told me to hold on while an agent came on line. Sure, as if I'm that desperate.
In England, we have the Telephone Preferences Service. This is very effective. It's not 100%, but it reduces the sales calls quite a lot. And, if someone does call, you've just got to say TPS, and they're gone.
Me, as other countries are not legally bound by TPS, I just leave my fax machine on. My friends are all aware of it. My phone is switched off (in case my fax machine isn't on which it might not be if I'm working outside) and the fax machine rings for an incoming call. By the time I answer, they've gone, unless it's a friend. The only draw back for my friends is that the fax machine actually answers the call and call charges start. The concession is that the fax machine is never on when I'm not there to pick up the phone.

tailgating!! especially when my kids are in the car!
If anyone tailgates me, I just start slowing down. The danger for me is that I have a sports ratio gearbox. When I take my foot off the accelerator, the car slows down quickly without the use of brakes (another way of getting people off my ass because they think I've got no brake lights, providing they're quick enough to hit their brakes).
I'd rather they overtook me and went on their manic way. I'm happy cruising.

The woman called back and knowing it would be the same person, I let the answering machine pick up. She made a point of leaving a very loud message saying I was "the rudest f*cking b*tch" she had ever talked to.
She got herself all wound up over three words?
I hate people like that.
I think that I would have enjoyed reporting that. After all, Snooze. You spoke the truth, yours was the wrong number for a sales call... and who was rude?

What a mistake to get me started here! I hate people who are always late. The type that will be late for their own funeral. I also hate people that every time they open their mouth, you know it's a lie coming out.

I'm constantly getting into a little dance with people at work that can't figure out they don't have the right of way when they come around a corner.
I nearly got hit in a crosswalk today in broad daylight while wearing a very bright green shirt. And while she passed, she casually looked over at me like I was a bug. May her face hit her windshield with disastrous results.

We got a call last week from someone looking for my wifes old boyfriend from way way back. They had vital info on him but they knew my name, they said he used me as a reference, but I dont know him, never met him. They found her here in Mn. from a boyfriend she had in Fl. even though her name is changed now, and our # is unlisted.
I hate creepy people who call you knowing stuff about you, but you have no idea who they really are.

I've heard a lot of people speak highly of the service in England (nah nah nah nah nah nah:D ). This has prompted me to register now, so I'll see for myself. Hitherto, I have relied on my fax machine to keep sales calls at bay (quite effectively) while my friends are aware of it and wait for me to answer.

We have 2 cell phones only. No solicitors call at all. I don't have to pay to be unlisted. My beloved and I can call each other nationwide without charge.
