Smog checks... (rant, a little long)

So Friday before last, I took my truck in, had it smogged, passed with
flying colors...
Today I get a call from the place that did it, they put the wrong VIN
down and so now I have to go back and have it re-tested. Great. So
I scramble and take it for a 20 minute drive to make sure it's warmed
up, take it in and the guy tells me the lady has my paperwork already
to sign. I told him I wanted to talk about compensation before I
signed anything. "Compensation FOR WHAT we aren't charging you the
68 bucks" No, of course you're not dimwit I already paid it. I told him
my gas and time and he just pulled on in to do the test. I go through
the same thing with the lady in the office and she starts in with the
same arguments... I just told her I thought $20 was fair. She had to go
talk to the guy about it, I can't hear what they say but he comes storming
back in the office, opens the cash drawer and hands me twenty bucks with
his hand shaking.
He must have thought it over, though, because when he was done he
came in and apoplogized for the mistake again, and even told me how
it happened, and a couple nice comments about my truck. (He had
made them before)
The way I figure it, they'll think twice at least about watching for those
kind of mistakes in future. And they have a customer who will come
back in 2 years when she needs a smog check again. Worth 20 bucks?

It would pass if it had to be tested..
