It's so confusing...UKs clocks went FORWARD last week.....US clocks go FORWARD this week....AUSSIE clocks go BACK this week. How useful are these clock changing exercises....I don't see the point nowadays.

I'm turning out all the electricity I can, because here in Maryland, our electric bills are going up 72% this month. That's a bunch of phooey too!

Yes, it's all they talk about on the news here-72% raise! Something is crooked somewhere with a jump in prices like that. I am in terror awaiting the next bill-I wash 5-10 loads of clothes a day, can't cut back on that.

Our 'Utility' bills have gone soaring up chonsi....certainly more than inflation. I tried to find out what they base their statistics on, but it looks pretty complicated. They say it is 2.3%....rubbish....

Take plastic for instance... I use 8 to 10 rolls of 12 foot wide painters plastic sheeting.... ok so... its now costing me nearly 3 dollors more per roll! Why? becaue im told that the energy it takes to make it has increased....!



So have almost anything manufactured.



High pressure hoses are up 70 bucks from the last time I bought them about 6 months ago.



The fittings for the guns I use creep up all the time... things that were a buck 6 months ago are nearly 2 bucks now.



I understand prices rise, thats a given, but why so rapidly?


I looked on our goverment website to see if I could unravel it all.....It's a joke...Retail price index, Consumer price index, Consumer price indices, RPIX....bottom line is...we get a 2% payrise based on the goverments info. , but our TRUE cost of living increase is about 15%.

My company is moving part of the business to China...labours cheap and the cost of renting property (business) is 94% cheaper than in the UK.....irony is that the chinese won't buy goods made in china.....they liked the 'Made in England' label....the worlds gone mad....

I hate changing the clocks back & forth, it's such a nuisance. And all it seems to do is screw up ones internal time clock for several days untill getting to readjust.:wah:
