The proposed tug of war match between Great Britain and Northern Ireland has had to be temporarily postponed - they couldn't find a length of rope long enough.

Thanks. As soon as people at work see me approach, they all say in unision:
"Oh no - not another Fred joke!" Which seemed an appropriate title for a book I began writing. It was to contain 1000 corny Fred jokes. I got it up to about four hundred but you've got to be in the right frame of mind, and you've got to catagorise them accordingly. I might carrry it through to completion one day. Writing a book is fairly straightforward: the hard thing is finding a publisher who's prepared to take a chance on an unknown with no track record. All my jokes are quite repeatable - I don't go for smut.
