i recently attended a very expensive course in the art of semi permanent & permanent hair extensions, fast becoming more & more popular we are having to include it as a service at the salon
we thought it best to use all the techniques on our own heads so that we can advise customers honestly
ive got naturally tight curly hair (shirley temple kind)
well here's my advice - if you have hair like mine - NEVER NEVER under any circumstances have any liquid gold wefts or pre bonded individual strands applied to your hair
im about halfway though removing the mess that looked so stunning 4 days ago & will no doubt return to this thread to moan a lotttttttttttt as the day & removal goes

finally have them all out, to remove the wefts its an oil based product & so you can imagine how my hair looks (greasy yuk) its also bloody sore whilst pulling the wefts even tho your holding your own hair & im still picking out bits of glue & bonds
how anyone can put themself through this on a weekly, monthly or 3 monthly (depending on technique used) is just beyond me
the good thing to come out of it is at least we can give a truthful experienced based consultation to clients whereas before all we knew was sales pitch from the suppiers & trainers

I guess you won't be doing that again!
They do sound like a good idea but I'll resist the temptation after hearing the reality!

def for high maintenance/vanity girls snooze
whispers - also they mat quite badly rubbing on the pillow on curly hair so i'd always have to be on top (to hell with that) :wah:

Never do it with your kind of hair! I had mine corn-row braided once years ago, and it took years for it to grow out and look decent again.
