Doctor...

A doctor was slowly making his way round one of the wards when he noticed a new arrival looking positively anxious. The ward sister introduced him.
"Ah, doctor. This is Mr Wilson. We are going to have to carry out a colostomy before removing part of his diaphram due to..."
After reading his notes, he looked up at the patient who was, by now, scared out of his wits. Trying to reassure him, he sighed, and shook his head.
"Young man, you haven't come in here to die..."
"Nah, I know. I come in 'ere yesterdie..." He replied.
