Between DEBATE and DEBASE.
Debate---A formal discussion in which opposing arguments are presented.
Debase---Lower the quality, value or character of.
Seems some of us have got this confused.

My point is, that somehow the art of debate has been woefully lost.
These tedious threads continually sink in debasement of each other without regards to anyones feelings.
You cant have a debate with just one opinion.

I just think we should be able to debate and discuss issues, controversial or not, without being reduced to debasing one another. The varied opinions and ideas are what makes discussions worth having.
The recent stink hole kind of slagging, isnt worthy of attention.

Apparently some can't tell the difference between a polite differ of opinion and an impolite name calling match.
I don't think anyone would intervene in a normal debate Snooze, but when people are ripping each other to shreds...well that's a different matter...there is also a tendency to gode and provoke ....we just need to be civilised and treat people as WE want to be treated
