I used to have respect for farmers,
I used to have respect and sympathy for farmers. Not any more! Not only is it proven that stubble burning and fuel reduction burning destroys the soil. It is also proven that farmers and foresters contribute more to pollution and greenhouse gas production than any other individuals. But, these environmental terrorists also kill more people than bushfires.
Their "Farmers Federation" officials actually have expressed delight at the fuel reduction burning that occurs. A local "Greenie" also expressed jubilation at burn offs. Forget about the big cities, Wagga Wagga in NSW and Benalla in Victoria are the most highly polluted cities in South East Australia.
People suffer and die because of fuel reduction burning and stubble burning.
If you have ever experienced an uncontrollable itch or a sore throat you might have an understanding of how it feels for an asthmatic to react to stubble burning and fuel reduction burning. Our lungs feel the same way as an itch or a sore throat!
There are responsible alternatives.
