Chicago is about to become the first city in the country to outlaw the

sale of foie gras.



Restaurants and stores will be subject to a $500 fine for selling. This

to take effect in 90 days.



California has a ban set to go into effect to ban production and sale

in 2012.



This is all due to animal rights advocates, and the force feeding of geese.

What I wonder, is why don't they make it WAY more expensive, and just

use regular old natural goose liver? Stop force feeding them to make the livers bigger. The people who want it will still pay for it, and the people

who don't or never did won't bother.

OK, I'm an animal lover to the core, y'all know that. But this is absurd.

Who eats the stuff anyways? I'm sorry liver is just edible in my opinion whether it's goose or beef. Blehh :yh_sick

I agree, Sheryl. Just knowing what that particular organ is for, makes ya want to hurl. But I still believe animal rights advocates have gone off the deep end with this one. As usual.
