Finished up my two landscape projects today...... Have to collect the moo lah $$$ Now I can begin .. shaving, plucking, polishing, ironing, and packing for the big trip. I dont believe this is real....exactly one week from this very moment.. I will be boarding the WING of a 747.. adjusting my goggles... pulling up my blanket... inserting the tube for the oxeygen tank up my nostrils.. putting in my ear plugs... and getting ready for take off. I wonder how I will look when I land... I guess I might be bald... or frozen. Have tea ready for me please......:wah:

So whats the plan here Theia ? Are people staying in hotels ? Are you guys just going to stay drunk ? How long is it for ? What activities are you going to do ? Will you be feeding them goats head soup ?

Actually, Nomad, Raven is the one to ask about the plans, I shall be taking a back seat (well, obviously not on the drive up to London because I'm navigator for Betty...although, I don't know...London...navigating...maybe I will sit in the back of Betty's car... and close my eyes).

But, anyway, Minks, Betty and I are staying at Raven's, Bez, Weeder and Chris at a nearby hotel for the weekend. The others are staying just for the day, I think. Some may get and stay drunk, I probably won't because I rarely drink...of course this means inevitably that a photo of me, absolutely plastered, will be posted here shortly afterwards!!

Some are going on the London Eye, I know that much, and Open has found a pub where we shall have lunch. Raven mentioned walking too. :yh_ooooo

On Monday, Betty, Weeder and I will travel back to Cornwall and Weeder will stay with me here until the following weekend. That is why she posted about shouting across to me in the supermarket, in her excellent English accent ("tomaytoes" was an error). I hope to be able to retort in an American accent but haven't learnt it yet. Any suggestions, phonetically written, will be most welcome...is it true that an "eh" will replace our long "ahs?"

I don't know about goat's head soup but I heard a whisper that both Minks and Raven adore brussels sprouts and so I shall be doing my best to introduce sprouts to anything we eat.

I'm looking forward to this meeting of FG'ers almost as if I was going myself! This is just so cool that you guys will all be meeting. I don't mind admitting that I'm insanely jealous! I hope you all have the time of your lives. It's something you'll remember forever. And we are going to want LOTS of details and pics when it's all done.

I've been known to ask in restaurants for boiled tripe boiled onions boiled peas and mashed potato, followed by boiled currant suet pudding with custard. Not often, though.

And who knows??!! One day perhaps an Australian meet. We could perhaps take over a tropical Barrier Reef Island... :D

And Buttercup is right. We are pretty lucky now to have the option of being able to be picky about what we eat.
