all these past childhood memory threads got me thinking about my secret treasure box, did you have one, what was in it?

in mine i collected fairy wishes, these are fairy wishes for those that dont know, as if you wouldent :rolleyes:



each one held a hope of mine for the future when let loose to the wind

Me too I loved to collect rocks, took them home and polished them in my rock polisher.

I collected stamps too.

yes I did but rarely did they make it home as the nearest beach to me is the west coast 13 hours away by car.

Ohhhh I have some sand dollars the girls and I collected just a couple years ago, kind of a keepsake from a sad and tough time in our lives. sniff sniff

my daughter just seen this thread & told me that she kept the key to my jewellery box under her pillow as she thought it was the key to the secret garden, how adorable is that :-4

i always wondered where that went :rolleyes:

I have on my desk at school a big conch shell, my grandmother had brought it home from Florida on her vacation. That was my present she gave me, oh what a glorious shell! The ocean sounds still roar in that shell, kids today are still listening to the sound of the waves from that shell. Two kids were listening to it this morning, before class...................

LOL! I STILL collect rocks! And do artsy farsty things with them like make a stonehenge in a glass bowl.

I have a purple quartz in the center with a little sword on it! I put floaty candles in it when I fill it with water. I'm sure you'll see a pic of it. The blue rocks came from mt. snowden in wales!

how do you fix them, with glue?

Nope. Just balance them in there. I'll make sure to get a pic of it then post it. I got the rocks to stand by using the little blue decorative stones in the bottom of the bowl.
