Is it just me, or does it seem there are alot of TV characters getting shot, injured or killed this season? NCIS: Gibbs seriously injured in an explosion; CSI Capt. Brass shot, Ghost Whisperer, Angela dies, 24, lots of people dead. And the list goes on. Just seems more this season than I remember from before.

At the rate Lost's going, they'll need another airliner on the beach to populate Series Three.

Background cacheing selected programs to your hard drive is where it's at. Now and then I wonder how something like Lost is getting on, and I look in the right directory and catch up.

Bob Denver, 70, the goofball television comedian who played beatnik Maynard G. "stands for Walter" Krebs on "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis" and was first mate Gilligan on "Gilligan's Island," died Sept. 2 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in North Carolina.
Seems odd theyd have him killed off 20 yrs after the show ended.

Well, killing someone off 20 years after a show ends is a great gimmick. Gets people interested in the show. Because you know somewhere, on some obscure station, Maynard G Krebs is still stranded on that island. And Dobie's best friend Gilligan is still a beatnik. Wait..I am confused now....

That's the truth! All I do is sit at lunch at listen to the conversations around me, and I know enough about TV shows, and never think twice about why I don't watch them. Although I did catch Dr. Who for half of it the other night, that was the exception. I wanted to see the new Dr.-at least to us-was. I think I am nostalgic and like the old ones better.
Give me a good book to read..................

I have found that tv and some films are getting WAY too silly in the death department lately. When you start having people die left, right and centre, and in the most strangest of ways, then after a while, people will surely become less and less interested, (well if they at least have some brain cells anyway!! :wah: )

That's why they kill off nobody's for those CSI and crime shows-gotta have a dead body somewhere!

Well I've been watching some of my favourite old classic who-done it shows and movies, and yes the no-body person always seems to get killed, and the most unlikely person in the episode is always the killer. I mean being a detective around those days must have been so easy!!! :wah:
