At this time of the year I am really housebound. The farmers burn their stubble and the foresters burn the "forests" or what they call forests. As there has been no wind for a week, the smoke is trapped against the Great Dividing range. :-5

I am an old asthmatic/ hay fever sufferer and cannot go outside. The small smoke particles cannot be filtered by normal air conditioning, so, shut in is the best policy.

At least in Brisbane and Melbourne and Sydney there is usually a breeze, even it it's the hot air from parliament house.
