I just tried to reply to Spot's post in the "Purpose" forum titled, "euthanasia" and got the following mesage. Anyone have an explanation?

And here I thought my green name was an indication that I WAS a supporting member....

The thread was there, now it's gone. Could it be he deleted it as you were responding? Spot?

Could be, but I would have expected the "You've followed an invalid link" message as opposed to what I got, which in essence said that I was not a supporting member. I are confused...

Entirely my... I nearly said "fault", but that would be stretching it. I'm testing the new debate area and I suspect that there are other more powerful beings also influencing the settings. I can still see the thread you tried to add to, BR, on the "Today's Posts" list. I can bump it, but it doesn't go back up the "Today's Posts" list to the top. I'm sure by the end of the day we'll have ironed out the puzzles and later on it can go live.

OK BR, there's a second thread "euthanasia revisited" which I've not marked Unapproved. I expect you can see it. Is there a padlock on it? I don't think you've permission to write into the thread but do try if you want.

These permissions will all be lifted when the forum goes live. They seem to be the current defaults for the new area, that's all.
