Any idea's ???????????????? i don't have a scooby .

If it's an older cat, it is just like us, we start to sag as we get older, so do pets. If it's a young cat, is it overweight?

Spaying may have an effect on this- but then our cat suffers from this, but not our dog.:-2

would you consider just under a stone hugely over weight for a three yearold spayed male my baby podge has got a very saggy belly and my little female she's a year old, spayed about 6 month's ago and getting a saggy belly already .:-3 :-3

I guess the weight is also dependent on the size of the cat's frame. Sounds heavy, but I haven't seen it. You seem concerned, though. My daughter's cat does 'swing' when it's walking! But she's pretty agile, and is a natural born killer, unfortunately. Even brought an adder in, once.

BTW, the dog is snoring at my feet- bless!

Hey, my cat, Scooby, resembles that remark!

Scooby is a neutered male, 6 years old and overweight. Actually, he is a big boned guy so the 18 pounds doesn't look so bad on him.

I'm not bothered at all i'm just fed of telling everyone he's not FAT just cuddly, i did wonder if it was because of neutering my dog's put on three stone since he was spayed.

If you could translate stones into pounds, I'd be able to tell you. I'm sorry, I'm clueless when it comes to those sorts of things. That and your money confuse the hell out of me!!

Neutering an animal can tend to put the weight on them. Just keep them active. A string dragged along the floor to chase, a flashlight spot, or laser pointer also works well. Do you have access to catnip? That makes my 14 year old boy VERY frisky!!

Your dog has put on 42 pounds since neutering? (Going by stone=

It's the same as with US... diet and exercise. Tamsen is a trim 67

pounds and never has gained a SMIDGIN since her spay surgery at

6 months of age. Correction, one time when I was slowly changing

foods I inadvertently got a little heavy handed with the kibble scoop.

But when I noticed, I brought her back down.

Yup he was 7 1/2 stone when he went in for the castration, he was one year old, and we had him weighed a few month's ago and he was 10 1/2 stone he is supposed to be on a diet and we are trying the funny thing is they said he was to heavy at 7 1/2 stone.:wah:

My podgy one does that with his belly . If you shine a laser on the floor he lunge's at it and skid's on his belly on the wooden laminate floor .....but he's not fat he's just cuddly !!!:D

I reckon cats have saggy belly's because they dont go out much and have the need to hunt their own food, my cat is just one big puff ball and she sleeps, sleeps, eats and then... ay yeah sleeps:o

Just like people, pets will have a tendency to overeat and not get sufficient exercise. Compare alley or wild cats with your domestic cats, no comparison. Our domestic cats have no need to exert themselves, they are babied, fed, shelterred. Most cat owners have sagging bellies as well.:wah:

indoor cats don't get enough exercise, once bored......they sleep.



and around the age of 3-4 they sleep more......its just what they do as they become older.

lower they're intake of fatty cat foods.

I feed mine them twice daily, Iams tinned, but always leave dry cat food down and fresh water.

best thing to do is keep them active, play ball or use one of their favorite toys and sometimes that doesn't even work.:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl

I have found that you can have a cat loose weight very fast if you put them in a closet with a vacum cleaner turned on for about 15 minutes.:wah:

Our cat loves to be tickled but today he preferred playing with a pair of underwear..not mine of course...hubs:wah:
