This is the last of the discussions for the that won't cover a serious topic. Why is it that the best music ever came from artists who hit their peaks in the 60's and 70's? These are also mostly drug addicts that tried to make comeback albums and tours wherein one song began with them screaming, "This is the first song I wrote since I've been clean!!" This song and album usually sucks sending the artist back to drugs for "self-medication" and a subsequent OD. Am I the only one that feels like artists need some type of hallucinogen to have talent? If so, I think I can find some heroin for Britney Spears.

Is there a way on this site to block the 'signiture' comments & pictures from the bottom of posts so you only get to see the posts themselves?

I've asked this question in reply to babyrider, not because I have anything against him/her, it's just that this is an example of a post where I would block a 'signiture' if I could.

I'm not saying people shouldn't fill their posts with signiture images & texts if they want to. I was just wondering if there was an option where we could turn them off if we didn't enjoy them? That way everyone is happy.

Thankyou.

(Sorry to be off topic).

I would say just enjoy the diversity. We all have different ways of expressing ourselves and no one way is "better" than another. Just different. Relax :)

Len, to answer your question. Dont know. The 60's & 70's were what they were. Music was at the core of what was bringing people together, and drugs were a big part of that for many. Maybe those musicians learned how to do what they do stoned and trying to duplicate it sans being high was just foreign.

Yeah...umm....Joe? The proper way to ask a question like this is to post a thread in the "Problems, Solutions and Feedback" folder and ask your question there. Not stick it in the middle of someone's thread. I'm also somewhat irked you felt the need to name me specifically. I found that unneccessary.
