Newcomer Carrie Underwood, last year's "American Idol" winner, was also a double [American Country Music Awards] winner, taking top new female vocalist and single of the year awards. The latter was for "Jesus Take the Wheel," a song she performed on the show.

Carrie's incredible. I was so happy for her when she won. Same goes for Kelly Clarkson and her Grammy wins. Those two are such huge talents.
