Anybody ever see a Wormlizzard?

Today, I was raking leaves out of our garden, & to my suprise a squiggly worm was uncovered in the dirt. I thought it was a worm, it looked like a worm, it was the color of a worm, it wiggled like a worm, but then it started to"walk" on four tiny feet! I have never seen anything like this before. Has anyone ever seen a worm that "walked" on four tiny feet, & had what appeared to be a tiny head? Have I discovered a new type of walking wormlizzard? :-2

Could it have been a baby amphibian like a salamander? They look like worms when they are young.

Thanks for the link abbey, but no this little critter had only 4 very tiny legs, & what appeared to be a tiny head. It's body was shiney burgundy in color. It was buried in the soil just like when you find a worm.

If I had a digital camera, I would have tried to post a picture.

(Note to self, I must a digital camera!!! :) )
