Another one is awry. I have known people pronounce it or-ree, and they aren't joking.

My big embarrassment was going to the bus station in San Francisco I think (would it have been??) and asking for tickets to Yose-mite Valley.

My brother was horrified and reminded me about Yosemite Sam!

Rod Stewarts old band The Faces used to have a Word of the Day where they would all try to include it in every conversation they had. The day that the word was "Incidentally" was the day that they wrote "Cindy Incidentally".

That was because spra-getti doesn't have a hyphen in it :D

In Australia, there are three lines, just like the Mason-Dixon line in the US.

Above the Brisbane line they've all "gone troppo" and have that glazed looks in their eyes. We call them "banana benders" or "bonkers" for short.

Below the Adelaide line they saw Kass el, drink Fosters and play "Aerial pingpong" ie Australian rules. We call them "our Mexicans".

Tasmanian's are not real Australians because we often leave them off the maps.

It's all very simple. NSW and parts of South Australia are dinky die Aussies.

Take care,

Gordon. :-6 :-6 :-6

Wooster-sheer - except the second syllable is very short, not so much sheeeeer as shir - obviously I'm hopeless at phonetic symbols though lol

You know, everytime someone else says it, it sounds easy, and then I try to say it and it comes out: wshhshrrrteer sauce! :D
