this morning that is. My cousin went to the lake, so she asked me to pet sit. No biggie, it's just fish, a cat, a dog, and a cockatoo. So I get up this morning and head over there. Uncover Cujo's cage and open the curtains so he can see out. Then proceeded to open his cage and let him out so I could change out his water and food. When I was trying to get his water out of his cage, the damn bird jumped on my head and bit me on my cheek (still stinging now 15 minutes later) and on my finger. I hope the bird's not a quick learner because I let out a string of very colorful words.

The other animals were more cooperative in letting me get their food dishes filled and the aquirum lights turned on.

The bird eats chicken, I find it disturbing. My cousin thinks it perfectly normal. :-2

Yikes Sheryl I would be cautious around a bird that eats chicken...;) My mom had a Cockatoo named Pepper, the damn bird liked no one but her so the rest of us lived in terror when we would have to feed it. Like Cujo it would bite us everytime. :-5

My sister has a Cockatoo as well that only likes my Brother-in-law the rest of us she just tortures us when we get near. They are fearless little creatures with a mean bite..:-2

On a lighter note, my son's dad has a bird that says a few phrases, my favorite being: "I can talk...can you fly?"

A chicken-eating, human biting bird? Has it not yet learned about not biting the hand (or cheek) that feeds it? This is why I do not own a bird.

So he should taste like chicken also. Bar B Que him on top of a beer can. You could ram a kabob through him and have bird on a stick.
