So here is the thing, we had begun looking as we wanted to buy a new car by the end of summer. We have been going out to look, test drive, browse and all the things people do when they are looking for a car.

Today after work, Rick wanted to go again, and I really did not want to, had been nursing a headache all day, just wanted to go home and rest. He said, there are just a couple places I want to stop, you can just stay in the car, I won't make you get out. So I said fine.

One last place, Marina Dodge was the place. Rick wanted to just look at that new one that Dodge is introducing..the Caliber. He was gone from the car a while, and I did not think anything, as he gets really into chatting about the cars. Suddenly he comes to the car window, says "I test drove a car, come on in, we need to talk."

Long story short, we now own a 2003 PT Cruiser. Lots of Bells and whistles, including a remote start, leather seats (heated) Sunroof, CD player, power everything and a turbo engine. It is red. And it is sitting in our driveway NOW. They took my Caravan as a trade in. I have to drop off the title tomorrow.:driving:

And how was your day????

Here is a list of some of the things it has:

2.4 Ltr Turbo engine

Reclining seats,

Power sunroof

Alloy Wheels

Cassette and CD player

Front bucket seats

compass

heated leather seats

remote keyless entry

Driver and passenger airbags

:driving:

So it is pretty neat. I drove it for the first time this morning. I liked the way it handled. I will take pics and post them here soon.

Today I put in my very special little guardian angel pin in the car. The angel was givn to me in Sept. 2001, by a man I was working with. I was providing companion care for a man in a wheelchair. He lost 4 family members on 9/11. They were in one of the planes that hit the WTC. They had been vacationing here, and were returning home to California. Anyway, this man gave a guardian angel pin to each of his aides in thier memory.:-1

Wow, Marie, that's heavy.

I'm sure you treasure that pin with all your heart.

May it bring you love, joy and safety:)

Too late, guess where it is tonight? :driving: Ha Ha. Actually, we brought it in to get the remote starter installed, and to get a couple of minor flaws fixed.

BUT such and adventure with the loaner cars! First loaner, a Ford Windstar. On the way home I noticed that the temperature gauge was almost in the red zone at HOT. And there was almost no gas in the vehicle. My husband happened to call as I was driving home, and I told him this. He told me to just go ahead and bring it home, he would call them.

He got home, took a look, and decided it probably just needed some water added to the reserviour and it would get me through tomorrow when I was going to bring it back to get the Cruiser back.

So he put water in, and it just came gushing back out. He called the dealer, and they told him to bring it back, they would give us another loaner.

So I get there, and then after hanging out for almost 10 minutes, they said, OK, we are bring around another car for you..just have to get plates for it.

Another 10 minutes, and they still had not decided which car to give me, and where they were going to get the plates.

So now, I drive off in a Ford Taurus. I was tolkd, OK, radiator is fine on this one, and you have PLENTY of gas. I bareely get 4 miles, and the LOW FUEL light goes on. So I said *&@$% this..I turned back, and made them take it and put gas in.

I now have a whole quarter tank of gas. Very generous of them, don't you think?? :-5
