There is a perception by those that do not spend any or very little time on the computer, that we computer users are a physcally inactive group. From a personal standpoint I am fortunate to live in a community where access to varied sports and exercise is within 5 minutes. This week I have spent about 30 hours in different forms of physical activity bike riding, outdoor volleyball, water volleyball, golf, pickle ball, ping pong, bocce ball, lap swimming & walking. Being retired of course makes spending this time very easy. I have just replaced work with play.

So------do you exercise, work out, or play on a regular basis?

From age 18 to age 41, I worked out regularly with weights and an exercise bike.

Three years ago, I said to myself, "I'm done." And that was it. I've hardly done a damn thing since:(

My arms have retained some good definition from the many years that I lifted light weights, and I do walk my dog regularly.

But I don't get enough exercise. Period.

I chase 2 kids around the house and yard most days, walk my dog, and work in my flower beds. Is that considered exercise? :D

I have been taking regular walks with Chonsi's avitar. Actually, the building I work is ideal for walking, lots of maze like hallways to roam.

I work out 3 times a week and do cardio 5 times a week. I'm about to step up the cardio to 7 times a week and up my workout weights so that I'll be able to reach my goal of a 400 lb. max bench press by this time next year.

Here's a tip: Just maintain inordinately high levels of stress in your life and it doesn't matter what (if anything) you can eat, it does not stay with you. Stress!! The great weight-reducer!!! Let's hear it for stress!! I'm back down to my high school weight!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!

Along with the weight loss, stress plays hell with the heart (particularly with smokers). Stress can cause atrial fibrillation, stroke, hardening of the arteries and can be the cause of premature death.

Better to be stress free.

BR, hope all is well with you, and the stress is not taking over completly. Just remember the virtual support system you have here. May seem lame, but we do care.

Yeah, but that just develops a strong wrist and big forearms.
