OK, I know this is not the world's biggest crisis, or even the forums biggest issue, but I would just like to rant a vent a bit, so please indulge me.
As many of you already know, we bought a car last week. Nice care 2003 PT Cruiser. We like it alot.
But I, for one, is really dissapointed with the dealership we used. First, the sales man we got, when talking with Rick (I was still in the car, as Rick had just wanted to run in and ask a couple of questions), he said the car was a leftover 2005, meaning it was still "new", not pre-owned. So, Then Rick called me to come in, and we had a long chat with the guy and Rick and I decided to go for it. It seemed a sweet deal, and we both liked the car alot.
So, while Rick was doing the paperwork stuff, I took the car we were driving home, and came back with mine..as that was the one we weere going to trade. We were then with the paperwork guy...who said something about the care stating it was a 2003. Rick first said, no, we did not want the car, we thought it was new, etc etc.
OK, they sweetened the deal even more, and we decided to go with it.
Now fast forward to yesterday. I had to bring the car in for some service work we had planned on doing when we got the car. We were promised a loaner vehicle, as they would keep it overnignt. So, after work I brought the car in, and got "the loaner".
It practically had no gas in it..and by the time I got home it had overheated!!! :-5
My husband looked under the hood and figured we just needed to add some water to it, and it would be fine. He starts adding the water, and it immediatly comes streaming out the bottom!!
So Rick called the place, and said this car was unacceptable. I brought it back, got another..and was told it was in good shape, had plenty of gas and so on. I barely got 4 miles and the gas gadge hits E and the low fuel light comes on. So I had to stop and put in $10 of gas just to get home.
I was not a happy camper to say the least.

I would be pitching a massive, heinous kiniption fit very loudly in the middle of the dealership. Threaten to nix the deal and bring the car back, tell them you want to be refunded for your time AND money with the 2 piece of crap cars. I'd be highly p!ssed.

How frustrating!
We had a HORRIBLE experience this year with Dodge! I will never ever consider buying one of their products again!

:-5 :-5 So, I called at 1PM, to see how the car was coming along, and asked if it would be ready by 3:30 or 4, when I would get there after work. The guy said, let me check for you..he came back sad, yep, it'll be done, see you then.
Now I should add..I had give the service manager my cellular number to call if they needed anything, or had questions. Remember this..it is important. I gave them my cell number if they needed anything. Got it?
So, I leave work, get there about 3:20. The sales manager was outside when I pulled up. Comes over and says "Hey, we have been trying to reach you at home (:yh_doh ) do you happen to have your husband's key to the car? We need it to program the remote starter."
I reminded him that no, I did NOT have it, and why didn't they call my cell...I pass my husband's work getting to the dealer". His response..we called at home. And thus, they could not do anything till they had his key!!
So I had to call him..now he does not even get off work till 4. THEN I had to wait around for him to come and bring his key.
During my wait I did rant a bit to one of the guys, that I was terribly NOT happy with this whole experience. And why couldn't they have told us they needed BOTH keys in the first gosh darn place..when they called Friday evening to confirm we were bringing the car out yesterday?
We had planned to use the same dealer for furure car purchases (two more vehicles, two more trade ins) Nop..not gonna happen now. Not if I have my say.

Incompetence abounds in people's lives. Especially here at FG. Wonder why that is???

Ugh... this reminds me of a recent experience I had at the dealership... we were interested in maybe doing a trade in which we were told was very possible... next thing you know, they say that it's better to just get a second car because that could definitely happen, at a good price, etc... all the crap they tell you to get you to give them your money... (Can you stand their fake smiles, fake laughs, fake handshakes? Do I need anger management? Because to be honest with you, it makes me a bit upset to have so much forced kindness on me... to the point where I want to refuse to shake their hand and tell them to quit offering freaken bottled water... yeah, I guess I do need to better manage my anger...) so, fine... he convinces us to get a second car which we can afford, so it's all good. We tell him what we want, the price range we want it in, etc. He starts showing us crappy cars that are supposedly the only ones we can afford. Then after spending probably like 2 hours there, we decided that we need to talk it over, figure out when we'll get the money we want to put down and all that good stuff... I finally wait out in the car as the saleman brings out papers to sign because I'm not liking that he's acting like it's a for sure deal and I don't want to be rude or cause a scene. In a matter of minutes my hubby comes out and he's angry. The salesman point blank asks him if he's going to buy a car today or what because we are wasting his time. My hubby told him he didn't care for his sudden attitude and didn't want to do business with him if he's going to be spoken to like that so he tells my hubby to have a good day then. Well, the following day, the salesman has enough nerve to call up hubby and asks him what can he do to get our business... my hubby told him there is nothing he could do to get our business ever again because of his lousy attitude... he apologized once again and hubby hung up on him halfway through... hmmm... he was a lot kinder than me... Ugh... I can't stand going to those places...

Okay, this turned out to be a lot longer than I anticipated and I appreciate for anyone who actually read this... haha... I needed to vent too... I just wanted the author to know that I felt her pain with dealing with pains in the...... well...

I don't like any funky smells coming off people! :yh_sick
And why is it that the worse someones breath is the closer they want to stand to you?? :yh_sick :yh_sick

I am reminded of a time, many years back, when smoking in businessplaces was not banned ( am a non smoker, BTW). I had bought my first BRAND NEW car. The salesperson planned to deliver it to my home, we would do the paper work there and I would bring him back to the dealership.
No sooner had he gotten into the car, and without asking he proceeded to light up a cigarette. I immediatly asked him politely to put it out, I do not allow smoking in my car. He glared at me and st in the passenger seat pouting all the way back to the dealership.
Of course I then obsesed with the fact that my car was "ruined" as he probably smoked on the way out to my house.

Come on people... who doesn't love to have their clothes, hair, and belongings smell like smoke? Some people like Vanilla... others like the scent of Jasmine... but I say lets find a Cigarette Smoke Glade spray

Not funny? Okay, sorry... I'm new here... have mercy...
I am allergic to smoke so you can imagine that smokers love me... to top it off, my mother-in-law and father-in-law are smokers, know that the smoke makes me sick and thought that just as long as they sat near an open window or smoke in the car with the windows down... that I should be fine.... :-2 they couldn't understand why I didn't like to go over much... well, enough of my lovely family gatherings... I know I may have took this off subject... okay, I took this way off subject... I'll go look for the "I'm Sick Of Cigarette Smoke" thread... :yh_glasse

Why don't we just 'redirect' this thread to a more fitting title:
"Just Need to Vent a Bit . . . about things that P.I.S.S. Me Off"?
Now every post fits in beautifully.

Ha... hey, take it easy on me... I'm new here...:sneaky: I was just popping in and out of threads trying to get attention... it all goes back to... well, this isn't the thread for it... we'll discuss my childhood and abandonment issues in the random thoughts thread, I suppose...
I don't own a Dodge but it's because a lot of the people who have Dodge have had them breakdown... it could be that they didn't take care of their vehicles or they bought crappy cars... my guess is as good as yours... And find a new place to poke... I'm sore...

Sorry for ruining your "Lets Bash Dodge" party... (in Forrest Gump way... remember when he says Sorry I interrupted your Black Panther party?) Okay, don't worry, I'm leaving this thread and I won't be back...
