You know they had a "Marine Corps Chin-up Challenge" at the State Fair
a few years back... you hung from a bar for a certain length of time and
got a Pain is Weakness t-shirt. Well there was a long line and plus my
body mass to muscle tone ratio (even with 100 push-ups a week I was
doing at that time) is not what it once was... but DANG ME I sure wanted
one of those t's. They wouldn't let me have one for love nor money, I know
'cause I tried... they were selling a whole bunch of other things but
wouldn't sell me a dang t. I forgot to use my granddaughter, daughter,
sister of Marines card, though!! Stupid me!

Do you think they would have given you one if you'd shown them that practically your whole family had been in the Marines?

I really don't know... I wouldn't have had any way of proving it to
them.
I wear my bro's American By Birth Marine By Choice t sometimes, though.
