Hard to believe it was a year ago, I observed the two minute silence at 12pm.

On the news yesterday they showed a video tape of one of the suicide bombers.

Really sad that something like this has to happen!! My thoughts were with you last year, as they were yesterday. :-1

I had BB on in the background and Channel 4 announced the 2 minute silence. The silence felt very moving.

There was an amazing programme on TV last night called "Nine days that changed London". It started off with the hopes and plans of the G8 conference and included Bob Geldof's Live 8 Rock Concert, all aimed at reducing world poverty.

Then it moved onto the bid for the London Olympics in 2012 and talked to those who took part. 30 schoolkids were involved in our bid to show our multicultural equality, it was a very moving piece of film. Then they showed the London bombings and their aftermath. One woman movingly described what happened and how she saved herself, despite having both legs blown off in the blast! :-1

It was horrifying to watch so much brutality after seeing such happiness and hope!

Newsnight are showing an extended programme at 10pm on BBC2 tonight reshowing the events and interviewing survivors.

There was also a young man last year, who was photographed helping the victims. He set up a first aid station and helped many of the injured to get aid. Al Qaida have alledgedly put a price on his head for daring to help the injured!

Belated thoughts to all you over the pond. It sure was a relief to find all our Brit FG members were ok..... Interestingly despite our tete-a - tete's here in the garden, sometimes I think the world can take a lesson or 2 from a gatherin like this and see how it is possible for folks to get along......

Peace All.

I was aware of the anniversary but didn't really think about it until the 2 minute silence and then, I have to say, reflecting on the event moved me
