My husband's grandmother has a doll that I'm not sure whether is vintage or antique. I'm trying to find the information out for her. I have a picture of the doll. I have figured out so far that her body is made of kid (soft leather) and she has a shoulder head. I have a picture that I'm gonna include. If anyone has any idea of what kind of doll this might be and where I might be able to find more information I'd really appreciate it.

Is there a name or number on the back of her neck?

I would say you've got something there, probably worth about $50-at most. It would be worth a lot more if it was together and with the original clothes on. But whatever you do, do not clean it or put it together. The value will crash.
Abbey's right, there might be a number on it somewhere. Go to the library or book store and look for an antiques book by, huumm, I think their name is Warman? I don't remembr, but there will have the most books on the shelves. Husband and wife team, they have books on marks, antiques and collectibles. Of course knowing what it's worth ain't worth a red cent unless you can sell it.
Good luck

I use to throw my dolls off the patio roof to see if they could fly, especially my barbies...

those dolls that have the eyes that look real are REALLY scary, it looks like they're watching you!

I don't have the doll to look over for a marking. All I recieved was a disc of pictures. And only 1 shot of the doll. It looks like though on her body there used to be some sort of sticker there though.
