The Other Side of the Bed

"I'm bored," I said to hubby.

"What else is new?" he responded.;)

"I've got an idea," I stated. "Why don't we switch sides of the bed tonight? Get a different perspective on things?"

"Are you crazy?" he replied. "I'm perfectly happy on my side of the bed. I like my side of the bed."

After much convincing, we've done it twice over the past couple of weeks. I love it! I like making small changes in my life to keep things interesting.

Have any of you Gardeners done this before? Would you?

There are times when my wife has rolled so far over my side of the bed I've *had* to go round and get into hers - much confusion in the morning.

That's just twisted!? It's things this that can break down the entire social structure in the household!!! If I were to allow such a thing, the next thing you know she would want to sit in my chair... and (gasp) hold onto the remote!?!?!?!

These crazy experiments can lead to nothing good!

:yh_rotfl You sound a bit like my husband, Ray. He got two universal remotes...so we both could have one. For some reason the still both tend to wind up out of my reach!! And heaven forbid I sit in his chair at the kitchen table!!:yh_rotfl

Strange. Very strange.

She also has an annoying habit of trying to impose order on my turf. Women do not understand the condition of chaos. Nothing is ever lost in the chaos because order arises from chaos with time, naturally. Be patient, if you look long enough you will find it.

Chaos? Chaos?!! You have got to be kidding! Hon, you be so trippin'!

The only order that arises from that kind of chaos is mold and the only reason it rises is because of mold buildup which eventually brings everything from the botom to the top.

Really? A woman alone, with 2 kids and an invalid to protect?

I do not believe in having a gun in the house, I must have something for protection.

I will at least go down fighting, if they broke in................

I think the idea is thay you're allowed to use anything that comes to hand but not to have anything prepared for the eventuallity.

I understand what your saying Captain Ray, I know how to use a gun but would never have one around children in my house ever period. Seen to many stories where kids got their hands on a gun and blew there brother head off or something even worse shot themselves. :-5 I will take my chances with my bat and cell phone 911..

Well, it sits there next to my snow blower, and a 2 x 4, and an old door. I could use the 2 x 4, that would be good to reach for.

I like your bat, Carla! A Padres one!

hmmm.. well, I just googled it.. and it seems that children harmed by baseball bats are ten-fold more common than those hurt by firearms.. but.. as long as you feel safe... that's the important thing.

If your kids don't know what to do with a fire-arm.. then you would certainly want to keep them away from them.. but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have one.

(I'm rabidly pro-2a if you havn't noticed...)

My kids at home are 19 and 20. But they work all summer long, so I am home alone with my husband most of the time. Everyone on my street knows me, but if I take my daily long walks, you can still be bugged by people and you worry when you get home. (I was 2 weeks ago, in the middle of the day! Give me a break, I am 51 and not to be stopped and hit on by people who party too much, I walk somewhere else now) I would use the treadmill, but Hamilton ate through the thing you walk on! I found out too late! (bad bunny:-4 )

OMG, I remember those days! Little un stretched out like a starfish in the middle of the bed and you and hubby perched precariously on either edge of the bed!

Then the next little un jumps in and heave ho, watch mummy or daddy topple over the edge to make room for lil ole meee! hehehe

Meanwhile one parent continues to perch precariously whilst the other hobbles off to sleep in the bunk beds once again! Yowser! Thank goodness we're past that stage! Lol!

cher, where do you come up with these interesting questions? We tried switching one time, it did not work out that good. Both myself & my wife kept rolling over in the wrong direction & kept bumping into each other (& not in the good way:D ) in our sleep & kept on waking up! So in the wee hours of the morning, we finally changed back to our "Pre-Designated" sides! :wah:
