My name is Issie and I`ve been reading this forum for quite a while...

Today I decided to take the plunge and come in from the cold and join you.

I`m British and have lived in England all my life.

I`ve just retired.

It's daunting, joining any board. I still hesitate before pressing a control button to reply to anything, and again before pressing Submit. If you've just retired this is a good place to have picked. I saw Cab Calloway's band play once and tried guessing the combined age of the people playing. ForumGarden's a lot like that.

Issie, you're going to have a blast here!! This is a great place, excellent people, loads of fun and some of the best friends I have. Welcome!! :yh_peace

I'm in Bedford. But I know there's a couple of members in Yorkshire; albeit, it's a large county. Unfortunately, they haven't put themselves on the member map so I can't point you to them.

Anyway, you might like to view the map which shows members worldwide. It kinda gives you a warm feel when you can see where someone you're posting with is located.

If you have trouble manipulating the map, let me know and I'll help you.
