Unfortunately, more hot weather has been forecasted for next week.:(

Same is happening here in Sussex. Sure is a relief not to have the sun beating down, but we had a pretty violent thunderstorm a couple of hours ago....the garden looks pleased with the rain....all perky :wah: and the lawn is visibly greening up.

Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow as it is my grandsons Christening....hope to have photos to post.

helefra wrote: Thanks for that Bez, I've just checked the weather on the internet and apparently the temperature will be in the 20s but it is estimated that it will get hot on Wednesday (approximately 27 degrees - don't ask me what it is in farenheight as I haven't a clue). However, the storms here have not been exceptionally violent.;)

The problem with us in the UK.....

The weather is so changeable from one day to the next, so we never get time to become climatised to it.

I too have had no sleep because of the heat, and we have thunder in the background at this moment of typing.

The easy way to change from Centigrade to Farenheight is....

Double the figure in centigrade, add 30 and then take one off.

27 x 2= 54

54 + 30=84

84-1= 83 degrees Farenheight.

We have 41c today so after working a few hours this morning I went to cool down by having a nice long swim in the sea. :-6

If it doesn't rain soon I'm off to live in Iceland. :wah:

Well, I was in Dunstable this afternoon and we did get a downpour but only a hint of a thunderstorm. Just a couple of grumbles and I didn't see one flash of lightning. And there's me waiting to film a good sky show.:(

I notice, now being just after 9pm, the evening interior heat is rising uncomfortably again.

I'm so sorry it's so hot in Spain. I loved my journey to Portugal and Spain in 2000. We stayed in Tarifa and journeyed over to Tangiers via Gibralta. Wow, the best trip I've ever had.

Hi Kathy, I'm not really complaining it is just my sarcastic way of making people jealous I love living here its such a lazy lifestyle and the weather is a bonus especially when there is a lovely beach 5 min walk from my house.

You will get used to me in time. :-4

puppgirl, we were over a 100 degrees as well I think 105 and climbed all day. Power outages were every where, the wires were melting. My neighborhood has all electric cables underground one of the few that do in San Diego. My mothers power has gone out 2 times today. The last outage was about 8:30pm tonight not estimated to be back on till 1am at the earliest.:-6 :-6 Tomorrow is suppose to be cooler but not much.. :o

It's pleasant here today (9.30am) because it's overcast and slightly breezy.

The forecast temperature for the rest of the week in my area is from Today - 75, 82, 86, 82,98, farenheit.

Thursday will be hell at work in the factory.....The offices have air con... how bad is that ?

I'm off to the christening later so it should be quite pleasant. :-6

Hi, Bez. Hope the christening goes very well today. If it stays no warmer than this, you won't become puddles by the end of the ceremony.

And I'm hungry for photos.:D
