My 17 year old son stopped by during his busy social weekend today, and we were just shootin' the breeze and I mentioned that I'd been craving a salad from Olive Garden, and some pasta. He leaves a little while later, but around 6:30, I hear his key in the door and him pounding up the stairs. He strolls in and says, "Get dressed, put some of that stuff on your face, we're going to dinner." He left his pals to come back and take his mom out to dinner. We had bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms, calamari, soup, salad, and seafood pasta. I have the best kid in the world!!

So, what makes your kids great?

How sweet BR isn't it grand when they do things like that....:-4

My Daughter and Grandaughter live with me so she often takes me to dinner or a movie.. Or we just go for a ride to the beach or the mountains, or go to the thrift stores and shop till we drop.. :-4

Awesome ladies like you 2 could ONLY produce great kids, in my not-so-humble opinion. :-4

I get that quite a bit, Marie. In fact, the other day I had to go to the bank and Josh took me. I was waiting on my new bank card with my married name on it, and went in to inquire what the hold-up was. When we got through all the BS and I showed her my marriage license, etc., she fixed the problem, and said, "Congratulations, you 2, you look great together!!" We both busted out laughing and the teller turned about 6 shades of purple when I explained that he was my SON, not my husband!!! We have been mistaken for brother and sister as well. But yes, I did have him young. 18 to be exact.

And thanks!! :yh_bigsmi :yh_blush

Had the reverse happen to me. My brother (15 years older) was taken for my father once. Thing is, he looks good for his age, and does not look as old as he is!!

I'm so close with all of them, and now that they're older we're more like friends. We hang out at the beach, party together, and love each other lots.

Ahh...another Olive Garden fan, eh?!! Cool...we'll make it a big group thing, the more the merrier!!!!

*wonders if there is an Olive Garden in Las Vegas for April* :-3

BR, I guess you raised your son to become a compassionate and thoughtful young man.

I commend him

AND you, who taught him how to be that way. :-6

Br ... All credit to your son. It's sooooooooo good to know that there are still some decent kids out there. Sounds a really enjoyable menu, I LOVE kalamari, :)

My youngest son is 22 and no longer lives with me. However, he calls me almost every day, just to ask if I'm ok basically, and give me any news etc. I really do appreciate it that he thinks of me in that way. I've told him several times he doesn't have to call so often, ( I DO call him as well) but he still chooses to do it.. He ISN'T a mommas boy if you know what I mean, quite the opposite.
