Does that put your husband at an ideal weight? Or must he gain more?
Does he fully understand what good news this is? I hope he can feel as good about this accomplishment as you do. :-6

He is at 155 lbs now. The specialist on Wednesday will tell me his ideal weight and goals for diet. I would guess 180 lbs, he is 6 feet, medium frame.
He knows he feels better, he has been more active. He was actively pouting when the nurse stopped by last week to say hi-see you soon.:wah:
But he is actually using his walker a little, which is a big step forward for him. He doesn't understand why I will have the nurse here-to fix his lunch, do some chores with him if he is good (usually not, but he might this year), and just keep an eye on him. He can forget he is ill, and want to go out. I am afraid he will get hurt, not remembering he cannot go up stairs and all.

I would "guess" that weight is not far off for his height and "medium frame";
however I'm not aware of particular circumstance. Work out his BMI - his weight
in Kg divided by his height in metres, squared. From your figures, 70/3.35
approx = 20.9. So, using the following table:
Less than 20 – Underweight
Over 20 to 25 – Desirable or healthy range
Over 25-30 – Overweight
Over 30-35 – Obese (Class I)
Over 35-40 – Obese (Class II)
Over 40 – Morbidly or severely obese (Class III)
he's a bit on the light side (but for a "medium frame"?), but not underweight. This
table doesn't take race or medical factors into account wonderfully well, though.

It puts him in the bottom of the normal range, but he never weighed this before. I am sure he will get a strict diet on Wednesday for me to follow now.
