I am just so happy with my iPod, Floppy. Even if it is apple and I'm a PC person, like you. Got mine for Christmas and it goes with me practically everywhere - I wear it round my neck on a halyard thingie. You'll love yours too!!

I have a discman, but only used it when I took my walks. Now I kind of like to listen to what is going on during my walks, to catch a nice birdcall, and look for critters.

We still have our stereo system with the original records and play them all the time-nothing like Pink Floyd booming through the system every once in awhile.:)

Ghads-we still have a working 8 track and a box of tapes..................

An amazing MP3 player Made by 'Apple'....mine stores 1000 songs and you can plug it into your sound sytem and play it through your proper speakers. It's a powerful piece of kit.

P.S. nothing to do with Mork and Mindy :D :D

My son has an ipod, I myself bought a Creative Zen Vision, because I'd read on a review site, that they were a bit more robust than apple. I love it cos I can carry my entire music collection around in my top pocket! As to loading and deleting stuff, I've found it quite easy. I just plug into the pute, open the media centre,

click on whatever I want to dump, right click, delete... As I said, mine isn't an ipod, but it must be a similar system to it. If, when you loaded it, it created folders, then it usually opens with the last folder used, scroll through your music library, and when you find the previously loaded stuff, tap the doofer thingy on the front to access it (Hey, I was born in 56, this is rocket science to me, I know how mine works I just can't explain it very well)! Anyway, once you're plugged into the computer, it just becomes another drive for you to access from your machine........ Mine's a Creative Zen Vision M...It holds 15,000 songs,120 hours of video, 3,000 pictures.. I don't know why I got one with that much capacity, there's no way I'm gonna fill it before I'm dead.....! :guitarist

I remember when they had no hard drive at all.. and the monitors were that ugly green or yellow color.. Oh how far they have come. :wah:

IPODS.. Here is what I know it all has to the with ITUNES and which computer you load the music from. It doesn't like sharing from one comupter to another, at least thats what I have found out trying to keep my Niece's IPOD loaded at all time with their favorite music.

You have to somehow let ITunes know your loading from more then one PC... when you figure it out let me know so I can make my life easier.. I don't even own one hate the damn things.. :-5
I remember saying that about the 200 megabyte computer i owned, years ago..

I've had mp3 players, never had any problem loading songs and having them stay there... I'm starting to think that ipods are just a pain in the butt promotional success story...
Hello.

A single Ipod is only allowed to synchronize with a single "library" of music at a time. This is Apple copy protection. This prevents a person from taking their Ipod to their friends house and loading it up with their songs, then loading them up on their home PC. This forces owners to only sync with their main library or they risk losing their music. When you take it to work your Ipod is seeing the work music as another library, and is overwriting your old library. You can't add to a library from multiple computers.

Believe it or not if you and your husband both own Ipods you cannot use the same library to sync both Ipods. And you can't have the same song in more than one library so basically 1 Ipod per PC. It's ****ed up.

If you use Itunes any songs you purchase from that service will ONLY play on the PC that downloaded them and the Ipod that is registered to the library that contains the songs.

Didn't yours get stolen anyway?
