You can always reach back and flush before they get there... for

future reference!! ;)

I wonder how many more of these we are going to hear about?

I know what you mean, DG, but it's mostly all in our minds! There's

been LOTS of testing by various people... and they just aren't that

bad!!

A whole lot worse is anything people put their hands on. I haven't

touched a door knob with my bare hands in YEARS. (In a public

place, that is!!)

Abd there was just a report yesterday how terribly dirty cell phones are!

:-2

That's horrible! The poor thing!

I agree with not sitting on public toilets. It's sad to say, but you can't trust anyone or anything anymore, even if the stool looks clean, you never know!

Oh, I sat on a wasp on the stool at home once. Neither one of us was happy!:-1

I have germ-x on my desk, in my car, and in my purse. I also have rubber gloves to wear when I pump gas and I pull my sleeve over my hand when opening a door as to not touch the doorknob.

And guess what else, people laugh at me all the time, but I honestly cant remember the last time I was sick. Its been at least 2-3 years.

You're not getting me sitting on stools in public lavatories. Sounds horrible, I didn't know it was like that in the 'states!

Yeah. You can get crabs from the toilet seat. Thos suckers survive on anything and can jump!

Back to reality:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/program ... fice.shtml

"Sick desks

It's not just the amount of work on your desk that could be making you ill - it could be your desk itself. Did you know that a study in America found that the average office desk can harbour up to 400 times more germs than the average toilet seat? If your desk is dirty, you could catch colds, flu, diarrhoea and at worse, hepatitis A."

It's very rare to catch anything at all from fitting on a lavarory seat.

Not true, DG! Here's a snippet from Wikipedia:

Pubic lice are most commonly spread by sexual contact and are considered a sexually transmitted disease, but can also be spread by sharing clothes or bedding. Pubic lice can not be spread by sitting on a toilet seat, contrary to popular myth. Lice do not have the proper body structure to maneuver over smooth surfaces, (using their feet rather to grab onto the hair shaft.)Also, lice must be near a human body to be able to sustain life, as they die within 1-2 days after no contact with humans
