Pinks...a lot depends on how you see yourself in future...do you want to remain with this person "forever?" Or are you seeing this person as "today but not tomorrow?"

The "making me crazy every day" part sends chills up my spine! And, although I don't know how old you are, I think that giving up "passion" is a TERRIBLE thing!

Honestly, it sounds to me as if you're "settling" for something, rather than seeking "the best." And, based on what you've said here....I think you deserve better!

"Best mates" are wonderful. "LIFETIME PARTNERS" give us more than just "best mates."

I believe settling is never good for anyone. So I'd probably end the relationship, or "demote" it if you will, to a friendship.

If the relationship has evolved to more of a "best friends" type thing and both parties are ok with that and I can't afford to be on my own I'd stay IF and ONLY IF I discuss it with said person.

Ditto on what Lulu said, you deserve better!

I meant You as in Anyone trapped in that situation! I meant to put that on my reply but I think my brain's shutting down from sleep depravation :p

How does the other feel about the situation? What would happen if party of the first part met someone outstanding? Could he or she pursue it with no complications. And vice versa?

BUT...they drive you nuts on a daily basis, and there is a serious lack of passion or romance. You are free to live your life however you want, do what you want, but you want a bit more than this?

Lets just add into the setup that you don't earn enough to live on your own...do you stay because you know each other so well..because there are no issues?

Because it's comfortable and familiar?

Is this just normality after a while?

oooo this is bad in my opinion, seems all to familliar to me, :( When the spark dies it could lead to worse things. Too much freedom could equal exploring new horizons, looking for the romance and passion elsewhere. Taking more and more time apart from each other allows for more distractions so to say. I dunno Pinky I don't feel it's a good place to be.
