Our poetry lays in a basement untouched.

So did I, many years ago. I will have to forage around and see if I still have some if it. But it was written many addresses ago..who knows where it all is.

As soon as I save enough to buy a horse, I will come riding in like a fire in a forest, pick you up by your wings and ride until you ask me to stop.

Lovely Pinky! :-4

In 10th grade a friend of mine, that was going through a tough time, and I started to write poems in a spiral note book, and pass it back and forth. I'd much Like to share mine sometime. Poetry, such a good way to say how you feel.

Could you elaborate on that?

I might have asked you in a PM, but your profile is private.

Why is that?

the theme and elements were very garden variety, but it was well written for what it is. As Randy Jackson would say, it was just okay for me, Dawg. :wah:

my profile is private because i don't know why.

Your profile is private because you ticked a check box that means that only 'buddies' can access your profile.

It's entirely your prerogative, Charlie. It's not for me to decide. But I think you're safe enough here to have your profile on public view as the rest of us do. At least, I haven't come across any other private profiles as yet.:)

That question would have to be directed to Admin.

I suppose it would give some here a sense of security as there are a lot people here. A lot of people here use the profile to show things about themselves. This is info that can be added or omitted at will. So, I think the profile is quite safe. Personally, I see no need for the option.

I am in no way judging you for using the option. It is your prerogative. I was simply answering the question as to why your profile was set as private.

I don't think the option is Communist. It provides another choice. Just one that I think is pointless.

Intrigue doesn't seem to work on me. It might on others though. But it provides a reason for the option that I hadn't thought of.

Profiles are great for conversation starters. Maybe someone will read yours, should you make it publicly available, and find something he/she shares in common with you. A favorite book or movie, or perhaps someone will discover that you both live in the same area.

It inspires some connection with other members. :-6

I think it's a great forum. I've been here a year now and I still keep coming. But I still haven't explored all its corners. I wish I had more time for the specialist threads here.
