Oh, heavens, yes. I have eight bank accounts, a brokerage account, and an online bill-pay service (I LOVE Paytrust!!) that I manage online. Not to mention 80% of my friends are people I've never laid eyes on, *and* I go to university full-time online.

Yeah, I need to get out more too. Need a babysitter for that, tho....

I use the pooter for everything! It's SO much easier! And I can check my bank balance and move money around between accounts, pay bill's etc. It's hassle-free!

I just paid for some items on Ebay via paypal, and one person needs a cheque instead! :-5 Now I have to find my chequebook AND a pen AND an envelope AND a piece of paper to write a note on AND a stamp!

And THEN I have to remember to post the darn thing! :-5

Paypal is SO much easier! :rolleyes:

Computers-what would we do without them?

I'd be a 'basket case' !

Shopping, banking, saving, communicating, finding info, playing games.....the list is endless.

When I move at the end of the week I have 3 priorities..........

Ensure I can find everything to make a cup of tea

Put the bed together

Get the 'puty' up and running :-6

Oh, I do not know what I would do without my computer and internet access. But right now I am saying that I cannot believe I waited so long to get my laptop....I love the convenience of sitting in the living room with my feet up while surfing.

Well we have had lots of computer problems recently and what with the holiday I just had, you really do start to truly appreciate how important the computer is to you whilst away from it for such a long time, (well apart from the million times that it acts up, but that's a different story hehehe.)

Well since I make my living making them fucntion I'm pretty happy they're around. I can chat and work at the same time. Multitasking.

to be totally honest i cant do any of the things you guys can do on your computer

for at school i had dyslexia(yup spell checker) word blindness with the aid of the spell checker abc

thing i can get across to people 1000's of miles away exactly what my point of

view is and for me its nothing short of a miracle i cant even write a letter i have to

tell my girlfriend what i want to say and she kindly writes it for me . guys i do

know my posts need a little work for when i reply i seem to kill it stone dead no

one else posts after me lol. but the thing is i can post a few years ago people like

me could not of done such a thing .. i love my computer its opened up a new

world for me .. even if i am a pain in your erm erm hard drive that's it your hard drive

Nah, everybody's just so stunned by the brilliance of your replies that it seems like a shame to follow them up with our insignificant mewlings.

I honestly can't imagine what my life would be like without computers. Either I write too slowly to keep up with my thoughts or I write so fast I can't read what I wrote later. I have zero drawing ability. You remember back in math class how the teachers talked about four sided shapes that have no parallel sides? Want to see one? Ask me to draw a rectangle.

I've been a hobbyist programmer since I was 13. That's a full quarter century. And I can't even begin to describe how my life has changed since I discovered the joys of the Internet. Oh, and there's that little thing of me working for a software company.

I'm not sure I'd call it addictive. It IS one of those how did I ever get along without it, like the microwave. Can't remember what else somebody has been in? Go online. Can't remember the details of a story you heard a few months back? Go online. Looking for something different to make for dinner? Go online.

On second thought, the internet can be addictive. I've just been limiting my time online on the weekends (normally 0 hours on Saturday and Sunday) that at times I forget why I do that.
