from the oral surgeon. I must was a very interesting expierence. My consultation appointment was supposed to be at 10:30 a.m., but when we arrived they said the dr was running late to come back at 1:30. So Dave and I had to go kill some time.

ARrive back at 1:30, they take x-rays. After the x-rays were developed he informs me I need my upper 2 removed. The bottom two were no were to be seen. I'm given a prescription for valium and painkillers. Told to go fill immediatly and to take 2 painkillers and 1 valium before leaving the pharmacy. Arrive back at doctor and finally get in for the procedure bout 3:30. Nitros Oxide (sp) is my friend. I loved the stuff, but I was laughing before they could even begin giving me my local. :o Anyways it only took them bout 20 minutes to remove both. However the tip of the root on my left tooth broke off and went into my sinus cavity. Dr. doesn't think this is a reason for big concern. However I'm not allowed to blow my nose and I must sneeze with my mouth open. :(

Ok off to ice the sides of my face. Dave said I"m beginning to look like a chipmunk.

I'm not sure when I can blow my nose again. I'm hoping it's until after my stitches are out. I go back next Tuesday for a check up. So hopefully by then.

So a tip of your tooth is in your sinus cavity - where does it go ? Where is it?

I had a root canal - the doctor completed the root canal in that one visit - as I was about to leave Dr said " I broke the drill bit off and it's lodged in your jaw bone". Nothing to worry about - it actually strengthen the root canal.!!

Within a few days I was so sick - my gum was turning black - I went to another Dentist for a second opinion - I had to go to a oral surgeon and the tooth was completely removed.

Your sinus cavity is close to your BRAIN - I'd find out where that tooth chip is.

If you can't blow your nose due to pressure - that doesn't make sense to me - get a second opinion.

That's sounds like a hard time, I hope you will be all right. If anything bothers you with the root tip, you go right back into the dentist!

Bless your heart! Poor thing, but don't you just love that gas! :D

I hope you feel better soon. The ice packs do wonders but keep taking your pills and keep ahead of the pain.

Hope you feel better soon. :-4

Hey Sher -- :)

I've never had the pleasure of nitrous oxide before -- it sounds like the only fun part of your day.

If you lived in Massachusetts, I'd definitely refer you to my new employer -- they perform root canals and tooth pulling and are excellent!

BEST wishes to you, my friend, and be well :-6
