I just recently finished a great book by Eileen Goudge. It's titled "Otherwise Engaged". The book was about 2 women who have been best friends since childhood who swap lives for 6 months. Both were going through troubles in the current lives and decided to swap and see if the other had it any easier. It was a great book and if you should happen to come across it, I recommend reading it.

So let's imagine that we all have the chance to swap lives with someone who is living the life we've dreamed about. For example, I've lived in a small podunk towns all my life. I've always wondered what it would be like to live in a large city such as New York City. Would I love it or hate? Would I come to appreciate what I have?

Would you jump at the chance to swap out lives with someone? If so, who's shoes would you like to try on?

No.

It took me so long to learn how to live my own life that I would not want to try to live somebody else's life. Everyone has their own problems and everyone learns how to deal with those problems over a long period of time.:-6

Thats a very good question, sheryl!:)

In my younger days (younger than I am now, lol!) I aspired to be like many other people, but I would never have liked to swap places with someone.

Nowadays, I would never dream of swapping with someone else, I have my Archie and my wife Carrie-Anne. I am happy with that alone. Yes, i'd like to be better off finantially, but my family is the most important thing to me:)

Lately yes I would swap with anyone....

:wah: Arnold you crack me up! Besides your wife can't be that bad.

Woppy I agree with you, I don't think I could leave my husband or my kids for a long period of time. They might upgrade models while I was gone. :o

And be Clancy's best friend, of course :-6 :p

I wish I was one of Goldie Hawn's children....she's my dream mom. :-6

Otherwise, there's no one I would change with. I like me, warts and all.:-6

I would like to drop in and out of other people's lives just to see what it was like. i wouldn't want to swap because I wouldn't want to have someone in my place.

I'd like to try being a wife of a movie star and see if it really is glamorous (doubt it). I'd love to see what Victoria Beckham does (other than count calories and have hair extensions put in/out). I'd like to be a fly on the wall of J K Rowling's office to find out what happens to Harry Potter first!

But I'd want to drop straight back into my life at the point I left it. That's cheating I think but never mind.
