Some of us were here when the buddy list first came out, so I don't remember who was first since we all did several at once. It doesn't do much good to check it though; seems that everybody likes to use stealth mode. :yh_wait

If I've seen a post from someone that 'hits' me, that makes me think, laugh, feel -- then I send that person a friend request.

For me, it's a way of saying "I'd like this person in my life." :-6

My first friend was Jim but i think he only sent that coz he felt sorry for me!!! He has lots of friends and i only have 7 :-1 :-1 . I'm to scared to ask people incase it's denied, i'd be upset all day

I didn't know the buddy list existed until another member added me. And I'm thankful she did because she is one of the nicest people here and I'm really happy to be her friend and have her as a FG friend.

I added someone to my buddy list last night for the first time - I wasn't even sure I did it right so I also pm'd that person. I added him because he's always been very nice and fair and open-minded in all the topics I've seen him participate on.

I kinda find the buddy list a bit intimidating. Not that it isn't easy to use but more of not knowing when to use it. I've met several people here since I joined and I think several of you are the nicest, most helpful, and very interesting people (I love reading your posts) but I'm not sure that is how I'm viewed so I get a little intimidated asking to add people to the buddy list.

Ive always just assumed we were friendly. Is that the same as being friends ? I think so.

Since I learned of this great buddy system I was tempted to beep you Nomad but I thought "what if he's just being nice and really thinks I'm an odd ball." I guess I self talk too much.

If I keep this up my hard drive is going to crash. It yells at me daily that it can't take anymore graphics

I was so chuffed when my first friend requests came through.



But I'm also a little nervous about asking for friends...reminds me of school when you desparately want the most popular kids to be your friend but they don't even know you exist....oh, was that just me then?

My hard drive doesn't complain. I keep them in folders and at Photobucket. Get with it girl. :-4
