if you won the lotto and could live very comfortably and in luxury on your winnings?
I live alone, have a few friends, but they are good ones, and I think I would continue working at my job, maybe 3 days instead of 5, just for the mental stimulation and the ability to interact with the people I've known for the past 5 years. I'd go to school, take art classes, learn another language, travel a bit, but I think I'd stay grounded at my job for a sense of stability. I think that because I don't have a significant other or a roommate or whatever to share my home with, my job becomes more significant as an outlet for relational interactions.

I would love to take a class in stained glass, and set up a little shop and just create pretty things. So, I amend my answer to working 2 days instead of 3!

Depends what lottery it was, if it was the Euromillions and I won 115 million Euro like your woman in Limerick, you bet your arse I wouldn't work. I set up me own observatory and look at the stars, after of course I had blown some on hookers and coke naturally, I would also start my own recriminagency, with private detectives and such like. I would probably give some to a children's charity as well, poor little buggers.

Yes snooze, you would get a load of lolly, and you could show me round america, fly around the grand caynon, blow a load of money in las vegas, get done for jaywalking in detroit, some more coke and hookers as well as its important to experience other cultures.

I would finish out the school year, and only keep my one college class to work. I would stay home the rest of the time.

And would that house be made from gold? No, you are far too decent and sensible, you'd collect art or something and probably give loads to needy people. Oh if only there were more people like you, the world wouldn't need people like me.

I'd have to say that I'm with Snooze on this one. I would find charity work as well - somewhere where I felt I could make a difference. I honestly don't think I would continue working where I do now - not even part-time.

I would travel & travel & travel
I'd travel with my husband - my sister and her family and provide for them.
I meet the most interesting, fun people while traveling - you're never bored.
Then if it's more money than one could imagine - my sister and I would be lifted, sucked, tucked, - sounds like fun doesn't it.??
I want to win ...

At first I thought I'd keep working a couple of days a week. I think I'd give my notice so I could travel freely, no restraints. I'd take my kids to every state in the U.S. and we'd visit Canada and Australia. I'd donate to research for cancer, MS, arthritis, and diabetes.

Forget work, let someone else who needs a job have it!
I would travel there are so many places I want to go to, firstly I would go to New Zealand to stand on a hill and say to my companion 'tell me what you see with your elf eyes' sad I know but there it is.
I would give donations to charity but not national ones - too much goes on publicity, mailshots and chuggers.
I would make sure that my parents could retire and not count their pennies and I would give some to my brother so he could give up work if he wants - he's having a bad time there at the moment.
But most of all I'd spend, spend, spend!!!:wah:

I'd keep busy but I wouldn't do paid work.
What an opportunity to do all the things you could never afford and go to places you only ever dreamed of seeing.

I totally agree. My husband would chuck his business so fast it would make your head spin!
I'd love to do volunteer work and I think I'd be good at it.
Imagine your world with *absolutely* no money issues at all? No worrying about retirement? :-6

I haven't worked in over 6 years and I wouldn't go back to work if we won the lottery but I would want to stay somewhat active; take some classes, volunteer work, etc.
My husband wouldn't work either. :-6
and we'd probably travel a bit once the kiddies were done with school.
