I know that there is practically zero sympathy, certainly in the media in the UK, for the deaths of US troops but I do feel their losses as much as ours.
Naturally enough british troops being killed gets more of a mention but to suggest there is no sympathy is a singularly inane comment.
Our troops are fantastic....if they are allowed to take on the task. Where I see cowardice is in the reported remarks by some generals or general....we were not told whom, who did not want to go North to Dogwood because the troops might be in danger there.
When are you joining up then? Or have you decided to stay at home and take notes.
