Last year the MPAA rejected a proposal that would see films which feature smoking carry an adult rating. "Film-makers must decide what story to tell and how to tell it," said Jack Valenti, the organisation's president at the time.
I loathe smoking more than anyone I know but this is pushing it. What next? STD warnings if the actors don't whip out a condom? Obesity and diabetic blurbs for when the fat person eats a Twinkie?
