This year is going to be great, we have Chantelle coming from the states, Xmas day we have everyone to us and i do a big Xmas dinner, my dad gets drunk on red wine and falls asleep one the sofa, the kids all start squabling over the toys, Jim and i eat so much we can hardly move! Boxing day we go to my mum's, eat too much, drink too much, spend the fllowing day in bed trying to get over the previous 2 days. Then New Years eve it's a party at ours, i do a big curry and chilli then everyone helps themselves and we all get drunk!!!!! :D :)

we have no family, so we're pretty spontaneous with our plans...cook at home, eat out or spend it with friends! :-6

Take her fever, who thinks of Christmas this time of year?!

I'll think of it after Thanksgiving. I just know the kids are staying this year, I will not be lonely this time.

I plan to chase my son around while he attempts to destroy his Santa loot :D

But, I have a very large family and we all gather at my house for a huge dinner, gift giving and then laying up complaining that we ate too much :D

I hear you Jimbo :)

You're trying to lower your expectations so you won't be disappointed

But I hope and wish

That you truly get what (and who :-4 ) you want this year :-6

Jimbo :)

My husband's sister married a non-Jew so I get to celebrate Christmas every year with them!

I'm all for celebrating any occasion in life. :-6

We celebrate with my husband's family on Christmas Eve. And Christmas day we'll open gifts with the kids in the morning, then head to my parents house for lunch.

Sher :)

Do you and Dave exchange gifts as well?

What are you hoping for this year? :-6

We exchange gifts, and stuff stockings for each other. I actually don't know what I really want for Christmas. I usually just ask for stuff I need.

I'm looking forward to not doing the washing up but I expect that I will be asked where I stay, which I don't mind. I think my partner will be glad he won't need to buy a lot of shopping in for Christmas too.

I hate having to do all the food shopping, i easily spend £600 on food and drink over that week, might charge all the guests a fee.........£30 per head is cheap enough :-5 :D

Don't know yet...depends on the sis, I think. If she (as I hope almost as much as she does) is back in her own place, the parental units will probably be in Florida, so nothing going on there. The sprout will be with his dad, visiting grandparents down in Georgia. I'll be footloose and fancy-free :D

Going to spend the week between Christmas and New Year's (which I will have free of work, school, and kid, all at once) with the BF. Probably just at home...don't know if it will be his or mine...I have a bigger place, with a bigger bed, so maybe we'll be here. But both of us are experiencing some financial difficulties, so travel - which we both LOVE to do - is likely out of the question.
