This year we have decided to play the Dirty Santa game instead of our usual drawing of names. My sisternlaw and I have purchased the items to make cute cards to send out announcing the change in plans. However neither of us are gifted with creativity of words. So I am asking, begging, pleading for help from one of our wonderful wordsmiths on FG to help me out.

I'm just needing though a really nifty way to say that we are playing this game, they need to bring a gift.

I've been thinking on this all day, and nothing has came to mind. The same with my sisternlaw.

Oh! We do that in my family, as well as round my agency (multi-communities involved). We call it "Cajun Christmas". It is great fun!

I go to a party every year on Christmas Eve. It's full of Jewish people who literally have *nothing* to do on the 24th! We do the gift exchange just like this, but we call it a Yankee Swap

Sher, you could print out the rules of it (like the link you posted for us) and enclose that in the cards. It would be very easy and would eliminate any questions about how it works :-6

I've thought bout that too Cher, my sisternlaw is very anal bout symmetry. I think it has something to do with the fact she's a draft mens. So I have to figure out a way to size it down and be readable. :wah:

Are ya gonna have a price range? If so, you might wanna include that on the invite as well.

Yep we have a price range. We usually just draw names, but that was getting boring.

We used to do that as well, but you'll have much more fun with this! 'Specially if you have any crabby family members :wah: They hate it when you take a good gift from them :wah:
