Has anyone inherited any good or bad traits from their parents or have you passed on some god awful habit to your kids . Who do you take after

My brat smokes ... but she didn't get that one from me . She did however get my temper and i got mine from my father so maybe theres something in it .

i inherited a big mouth. god knows where. all my family is quiet and reserved. they are always asking my mom who my dad is?:-2

I got my Dad's placid nature and my Mom's boobs:wah:

I only know one half of me genes and I know I inherited my stubborness from here. My daughter also has this trait. :-5

Ooooh yes! I'm turning into my mother on a daily basis, who in turn is becoming her mother so I've warned my other half not to study my gran too closely or he'll freak out completely!!



I'm like my dad in that I'm quite laid back and don't worry about things but I'm becoming batty like my mum, and have inherited her need to feed people.



Another weird trait we shared is that when pre-menstrual we had a compulsion to bake cakes and they would always go wrong.

I got my dad's boobs :-5 :wah:

I inherited a nasty mother in law when I got married. I call her Mrs McNasty after this weekend.

I inherited my mother's self-centeredness and coldness....working on that. And I got her legs, breasts, eyes, and looks.

I inherited my grandfather's thriftiness and need for spirituality in my life.

I inherited my dad's sensitive nature and his temper and control freak tendencies. Working on that too, but those traits are hard to lose.

I inherited my grandmother's worrying.

I just have to say that when I first read this, I thought it was about inheriting money and property. So I was gonna write about the money that my kind grandparents left me years ago and what I did with it. Too bad I don't have it now.

I have physical traiits from both and people see both in me at any given time. I have my dad's knuckles and my mom's fingernails. :wah:



My dad's nose and eyes.



His temper.



From my mom, the guts and will to stand up for what I think is right and fair, even if it makes me unpopular. She was the fairest, most honest person I know.

i think i am most like my maternal grandmother. grounded, family oriented, and i always thought because nobody was ever around ot tell me "no" i could do anything i set my mind too. but i see the same traits in granny. i always befriend the underdog. always make time for kids. and she is like that. if anybody ever makes the mistake of telling me "no" you can bet your bottom dollar i will then.....

its slightly off subject but my daughters are complete opposites in many ways incuding looks & yet if you were to merge them - well you get me

i dont really know which of my older family members im like (im a middle kid, we always have issues :wah: )

I got my moms brown eyes and my dads funny ears, I also got 23 chromosones of each of them so I guess there is a lot more, all in all, I've been fairly lucky, unfortunatly the men on my dads side have a habit of dying relatively young so I'm hoping to buck that trend is I can avoid it.

ooooh i have a roman nose, its slightly to the side & causes me a lot of problems when ive got flu (im in scotland, this happens a lot) anyway i was offered a op on the nhs to fix it, they explained the procedure & i thought no ********n way is anyone putting a hammer & chisel to my nose

ive always thought it kinda gave my face character & have a bit of a thing for guys with a big nose too :sneaky:

Exactly the same for me too. My parents are so different and unlike each other it's scary!

I am logical and rational and organized and never late, like my Dad

I am kind and compassionate, like my Mom

But on the flip side

I like to be 'in control' whenever possible

and it's hard for me to set limits with other people, too
