Is in pre production right now. Johnny Depp has signed on and Elena Bonham Carter is said to be signed on as Ms Lovett! I cant wait for this!!

Oh yes. He slits the throats of his victims and then sends them down to Ms. Lovett's restaraunt and she "hides" the bodies in her penny meat pies!

Did you see the Ben Affleck/ Liv Tyler film with the Sweeney Todd clip in it?
Ben's daughter has to perform an act from a show so she, Ben and Grampa perform an act from Sweeney Todd. The other kids are shocked! Every other child sings "Memories" with their mothers. I can't recall the name of the film, which was absolutely dire, but this one clip was amusing. :rolleyes:

I didn;t become a jonny Depp fan untill i watched him in "Pirates of the Carrabean" His character makes the movie. he is very talented.....
and i loved him in the movie where he is a writer and goes beserk. can't remember the name of it.

It was Jersey Girl. I loved that part. THat little girl is so cute. It has George Carlin as Grampa and Liv Tyler helps out too.

THe Secret Window. I liked him in 21 Jump Street.

Yes, you're right, it was Jersey Girl. Funnily enough there was another film, also called jersey Girl and also extremely dire! Maybe they should think up some new names! :rolleyes:
I agree Guppy, Johnny Depp is great as Captain Jack Sparrow! :-4
I wasn't so keen on him as Willy Wonka but loved him in Edward Scissorhands and Finding Neverland. I also like 'Nick of Time', currently showing on Sky Movies, where he has to assassinate a US senator in order to retrieve his daughter from kidnappers.

And Jack Sparrow was certainly played with enough bonkers to pull off a fine Sweeny.
But can he sing?
