Giggle.. Weber!! Reckon I get my blonde hair and love of logic from the German side, my freckles, craziness and unwillingness to be tied down from my Irish side, and my wicked sense of humour, bohemian attitude and goddess type style (okay quit the sniggering ) from my French side. General contrariness (called bolshieness here) and laidback attitood from my Aussie homeland.. And the Good Lord alone knows where the wild witchy woman thing came from!!! What a bloody awful mongrel mess!!!!!!!! No wonder I'm always up a gumtree.

Boringly Irish, though having been born in England I am quite emotionally attached to the place as well. Actually they are able to determine nowadays your genetic ancenstry, it would be interesting to try it. Its pretty general though, Ireland is still quite genetically homogenous so it would show up well, other larger European nations like France and England are much more mixed in terms of genetic populations though so it would be a more general thing. Interesting though.

Oh. Well I dont care what people think about my country, I feel ok about it and thats all that matters. But anyhoo I was just giving you crap about Scotland. I didnt know you were sensitive about it then. Quite frankly I dont know why you would be. Id be proud to call myself A scotsman. A beautiful and unique country. That type of thinking is alien to me.

My opinion has not changed one bit. I can honestly say Ive never had a skewed view of anyone because of their origin, That would be ludicrous in my world. My creed is live and let live. Always has been. In fact Ive had a special affection for Scots. Even the one I had a problem with. Maybe I should have felt you out 1st but you know me I just jump in and hope for the best. Its almost always in good natured fun. I have the highest regard for you. If I ever get the chance to visit that God forsaken hellhole>:p it would be a dream come true. Thats my honest answer.

Grin!!! I can relate to that battlefield thing, Magenta. Most aussies are fairly mongrel anyway. Maybe that explains why we are so laid back, generally??? And to our individual makeup ya gotta add the um osmosis from our significant others. My first long term bloke was Russian, my second a Swiss count, I ran off with a New Zealander, learnt to boogie in America, married an Englishman. Have wandered in a lot of places and my closest friends are literally all over - colour, religion, nationality, location. I grew up surrounded by languages other than English, and so did my kids. I love the idea of a Great Big Melting Pot !!!
I am sure Miriam will back me up in this. We do shave our pits and take showers at least once a year, even if we're completely clean. Okay?!
