We Each Have Pain, Let's Not Add To It.

We're all just people, with our own collection of pains. Aren't we? We all come from different areas of the planet, have different cultures, own different personalities - and different tolerances, humor, or ways of communicating. So, we fight. But deep down, we really don't want to. Deep down, we know life is too short and fragile to do it. Yet, we still do. Pain avoidance? Escapism? Frustration, insecurity, lack of happiness? Who knows, but we know it's sad and not right. So I thought I would take this moment out to step outside that battlefield we generally all dwell in and say "I mean no harm." I also want to say that I am sure if we were all in person we would get along just great.

Here's to a brighter future and getting off to a better start and more tolerance:

Can't wait to get another nut so I never do something like this again. :-5 Shoot me, Nomad. Just ... shoot me. I gotta run ... the damn Gallery on my site is down!

I couldn't agree more, 24. I know that when I "go off on one" with other people it's because I've got stuff going on for me and it hurts and, in turn, I hurt other people. But deep down, no, I don't really mean any harm either...I think we are all acutely aware of our own pain and don't truly mean to cause further pain to anybody else.

But then, of course, when it comes to defending word games, now that's different!! :wah:

Love your av, Weber!!!

Theia !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (((((( Girlfriend )))))))

Is your computer sorted now?????

It's great to see you.

I like 24's thread title. Makes me want to pick up a big stick and clobber him. Add to his pain. But then I'm like that. And I expect he'd really quite enjoy it anyway, so I'm not going to do it. That'll hurt him more. Maybe I'll clobber Nomie instead, but only if he puts on a kilt and shows us his highland fling!!! :sneaky:

I sorted wireless broadband for my laptops in Sydney, Theia - and they both promptly crashed. Infected instantly by some weird trojan horse virus. Both of them!! First thing I did after I hooked up the system was to install antivirus software and a firewall program - but either something was lurking about already, or the virus was faster than the prophylactics. Anyway - the laptops are now in the hands of an expert exterminator and I should in future be able to get properly on line in Sydney.. Phew. I'm in Canberra now, with a civilised connection. Sure makes a difference, doesn't it!! How's the new digs???

Really good, Pammie...even Fergus (my cat) seems settled now. I bought him a "donut" bed as a housewarming pressie and naturally, he wouldn't go near it...til this morning when I saw him curled up and cosy in his donut.

Okay, so I'm only on a six months' let but I'll think about that tomorrow...

Hi Theia

I'm halfway through a 6 months let...I'm 99% sure there won't be a problem extending, but still looking for somewhere to buy....glad Fergus is a happy 'puddy tat'

Hi again Bez, MrsK, Theia, Hammy... Do hope your leases work out for you both, Bez and Theia. Good about your cat, Theia... warm and comfy curled up on a donut. Nice visual. After three inches of snow round here last night, it warmed up a little bit today. Amazing weather.

Pam, got any pictures of the snow you can post?

My brother-in-law used to live in Canberra and we visited when we came over - lovely city but dead quiet! I remember the cheesecake shop near his house very fondly!!

No, sorry Imladris. No pics. And Canberra is dead quiet. Capital city but really a country town with amenities. Grin. In the highlands, so clean air and lots of bush. Small population (about the same as the State of Tasmania) so no crowds, little crime, and you can get anywhere in under half an hour. Close to the ski slopes. Not that far from the coast (2 hours drive). And 3 hours drive from Sydney, the Big Smoke where I live half the time. I'm a city girl but enjoy the country too. Very nice to have both.

If that mad scientist type person does that, myself will be discarding the habits and beliefs of lifetime and banjo him.

G'day Chookie !!!! I'm sure I'd rather watch your version of the dance! Last National Folk Festival here, I completed a class of Highland Fling 101. It left me with cramps in me afteryears, splinters in me toes, a healthy respect for all Scots people and a yen for the sexy piper who assaulted my only too willing eardrums with the skyirl o the big pipes. Indoors. :D
